WhatsApp has stopped working on these phones since January 1

The new Delhi, 30 December: Whatsapp will stop working for some iPhone (iPhone) as well as Android smartphones from 1 January 2021. There are many Android and iOS phones that will not be able to run the app, as the company will withdraw support for the older version of the OS from next year. According to the information given on the WhatsApp FAQ section, WhatsApp will only be able to run on Android 4.0.3 operating system or newer as well as iPhone running iOS 9 and newer.

All iPhone models up to iPhone 4 will lose support for the messaging platform in the next few days. IPhone models include the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. For Android, HTC Desire, Motorola Dryer Razor, LG Optimus Black (LG Optimus Black) and Samsung (Samsung) Galaxy S2 will lose WhatsApp support by the end of 2020. The instant messaging platform will keep the app running for select phones with Kios 2.5.1 OS or newer, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2.

To find out which OS or iPhone it can run on, the software and user can then look at the Settings menu and then General and Information options. Android users can go to Settings, then about the phone to see which Android version their smartphone is running.
