Android TV app will now get 8K video playback for YouTube

San Francisco, November 28: In the latest update of Android TV, up to 8K streaming has been introduced for YouTube. According to an Android Police report, Android TV version 2.12.08 includes the facility to support up to 8 streaming of YouTube TV, so that YouTube TV can be run on Android 10 or more.

Under this change, only a limited number of devices will have the ability to support streaming of 8, although it is still unclear which models are expected to support it. Apart from the streaming support of 8, the latest YouTube of Android TV update has brought another change and that is – Cast Connect support.

With the remote control of your TV through Cast Connect, Cast Media can be controlled on Android TV, for this no separate device will be required.
